Research Fundamentals

A 4-hour workshop designed for first-year college students to prepare them for academic research prior to the academic year beginning.

Students will…

• gain more confidence in the research process.
• recognize institutional library resources.
• identify the best sources for their question.
• develop search strategies, including keyword creation and reiteration.
• perform paraphrasing techniques with appropriate citations.
